Humane Society of the Treasure Cost, Inc.

Welcome
We're glad you're here.  The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is online and here to provide you with a place to search for and adopt a new best friend and keep you posted on upcoming events and new developments at the shelter.  HSTC is a private non-profit humane agency caring for more than 6,000 animals each year and relies solely on private donations.  We are an open admission shelter with no time limit on hope.  The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is much more than a shelter...it is a shelter with unconditional love just waiting for you.

Our mission is to assure a better life for companion animals by providing shelter, finding loving homes and promoting respect for their place in our lives.

We hope as you browse our site, that you will get to know us and recognize the importance of our programs.  Find the love of your life in Adoptions.  Learn the positive effects of Humane Education.  Participate in our Special Events.  Realize how your support will allow us to continue enriching the lives of animals and people.  If you would like to help us with our mission, please donate here.  Thank you.

PET OF THE WEEK

Priscilla ~ Loyal Lab Mix Who Loves to Romp at the Beachprisciall_pet of the week

Priscilla is a 7 year old Lab Pit mix who has seen her share of hard times.  Chances are, if you think that you have had it bad, she has had it worse.  This loveable girl doesn't let her past stop her.  She loves to play in the sun and romp and role in the sand at the beach. She can be described as extremely loyal and layed back with a little bit of spunk.  So if you think you have what it takes to meet one brave and loveable girl, don't hesitate to visit her today.

Shady ~ Affectionate and TalkativeShady_Pet of the Week

Shady was adopted from the HSTC one year ago and just returned due to landord issues.  Unfortunately, he came back 14 pounds heavier and now weighs 27 pounds.   He has been checked by our staff veterinarian and is in good health otherwise.  He needs to lose the weight gradually over a long period of time and excerise moderately.

He is affectionate and talkative.  His favorite thing is to listen to you talk while he gets a belly rub.  This amazing "man-cat" deserves a second chance at a forever home!  How about yours???

If you are interested in finding our more about adopting, please contact an Adoption Counselor at (772) 223-8822.
